Your words stay
yours.
Most tools send everything to their cloud. Carré takes the problem the other way around: a private mode that processes on your machine, data that stays with you in the desktop version, and recording that works even without a network. The part no one else offers.
Not promises, technical choices.
Where others talk about "cloud security", Carré lets you keep control of your data.
Private mode
A mode where transcription runs on your machine, with no network upload. You choose, note by note, what stays strictly local.
On your device
In the desktop version, your recordings stay on your computer and your API keys are encrypted there by the system keychain — nothing is parked on a distant server. The audio files themselves are stored as-is: whoever has access to your session has access to your recordings, as with any other file.
Nothing trains the AI
Your notes stay yours. They never train any model, ever. Not yours, and not your team's.
Offline
Recording keeps going even without a connection. Capture first, process whenever you want. Handy in a lecture hall, on the move, in a meeting.
Local, where others are all cloud.
"Privacy" is a word everyone uses. What's rare is being able to keep the processing on your own machine.
Everything goes to their cloud
Even when they promise not to train the AI, your meetings travel to and are stored on their servers.
